Trigger warning

Art can and should transform. But all people experience performances and representations differently due to their individual background. We are aware that some guest performances might contain and show contents that can trigger overwhelming or hurtful feelings: for example, because it deals with violence (physical, psychological or sexualized), serious illness (physical or psychological), suicide, war, racism, sexism, homo- / inter- / transphobia, ableism and animal cruelty. Therefore, below we point out content that we classify as potential triggers. These references will enable you to respect your boundaries and make conscious decisions. Because we want to make sure that you feel supported and safe with us.

  • KOULOUNISATION: The play depicts the violent relationship between the colonial power and the colonized on various emotional levels.
  • NEGOTIATING PEACE: In connection with peace negotiations, warlike conflicts are also addressed here.
  • PUT YOUR HEART UNDER YOUR FEET … AND WALK!: Video sequences show blood and the slaughter and cutting of animals in a slaughterhouse.
  • TO BE POSSESSED: In sound recordings, people talk about how they are controlled by inner voices.
  • SCARBO: The piece contains a report of a suicide.
  • UKRAINE FIRE: Here, war and violence are negotiated in song lyrics and images.
  • THE LONG SHADOW OF ALOIS BRUNNER: The piece contains descriptions of traumatic experiences caused by escape / migration and violence.
