The venue LOFFT will offer a workshop on the practical writing of theatre criticism parallel to euro-scene Leipzig. The panel discussion will conclude the workshop. At the beginning the participants of the workshop will first present their critiques and the results of their research about the guest performances of euro-scene Leipzig. Following this, journalists and presenters will talk about the duties of and opportunities for dance and theatre critics. A focus will also be placed on the specific state of criticism in Leipzig and the tension between the regional and national arts coverage. Last but not least, alternative forms of publication and the influence of the Internet on the critical landscape will be discussed.
