A film about Meg Stuart
The experimental film portrait translates the choreographic research of Meg Stuart into a fictitious narrative. For French director, Pierre Coulibeuf, born in Elbeuf in 1949, film is a mental place where fixed identities, locations and stereotypes are dissolved. Meg Stuart glides through the everyday affairs and gestures of various people like a chameleon. »Somewhere in between« is not a film version from a stage choreography by Meg Stuart, but a work she created exclusively for this film.
With her company, Damaged Goods from Brussels/Berlin, renowned choreographer Meg Stuart – born in New Orleans / USA in 1965 – has made guest appearances all over the world. Her piece »Alibi« was shown at the euro-scene Leipzig in 2002 and is one of the high points of our festival.
