A man and a woman have been at euro-scene Leipzig for a week and have seen all the performances and observed the audience. The will make a statement based on their confrontation with different perspectives and unusual artistic trademarks at the Festival, and explain whether love on the theatre stage still has a chance. The »couple’s« opinion will be just as subjective as that of the audience and journalists. A broad range of observations is anticipated from which a conclusion about the 13th euro-scene Leipzig will be drawn.
Petra Stuber is professor of drama and history of the theatre at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater »Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy«, Leipzig. Detlev Schneider was the artistic director of the Festspielhaus Hellerau in Dresden until 2002 and is currently working as a freelancer in Berlin and Dresden.
