A window opens and an arm appears. The hatch closes and a body disappears. A secret force links the things that seem to have no connection, but still can only exist together …

A man thinks that he is part of the team that conducts an experiment and that he also supervises it. But he is actually the experiment. His behaviour, his reactions are being monitored. He lives a lie so the others can find the truth. If we all live a lie in secret consent, where or what will be the truth or the illusion respectively. Does life begin where the illusion ends or where it begins?

The Company Reckless Sleepers was founded in 1992 and has given successful guest performances in numerous cities in Great Britain. So far almost unknown abroad the group and its wealth of ideas is a real discovery. Reckless Sleepers continues aesthetically very original the art of the famous Hungarian Josef Nadj and attaches more importance to the visual than the linguistic aspects.

Their latest production »Schrödinger’s box« goes back to the Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger (1887-61), who developed the quantum theory out of the motion and wave equation and was awarded the Nobel price in 1933. Reckless Sleepers creates absolutely witty and subtle scenic relations to the quantum theory, which deals with atoms, molecules and their interaction with elementary particles.

An empty place, in which everything can be imagined and which creates other rooms – experimental chamber, melting pot, television, a place for dreams. A bizarre puzzle in the sense of the Neorealist painter René Magritte, in which all math rules and conventions are literally turned upside down.
