Marilyn Monroe, Diana and the others – they were invariably blonde and more an object than subject of desires. A hotel room as a place to stay and a refuge, but also a vanishing point and a room that symbolises anonymity: »Gentlemen Prefer Dead blondes« is the subtitle of this live Installation by Kate Pendry, 2002, which dramatises the significance of the longing for love of a beautiful but lonely lady. She takes the concept of a peepshow literally in the sense of onlooker.

Kate Pendry will give a guest performance with the monologue »Sex in the Warzone« in the Neue Szene on Friday, 7. Nov. and Saturday, 8 Nov., each at 10:00 p.m. Additionally, she will direct a workshop in the Villa on Wednesday, 5. Nov. and Thursday, 6 Nov., each at 11:00 a.m.
