    German première

Somewhere in an artist’s dressing room, Marie-Caroline Hominal receives each member of the audience individually. She illustrates atmospherically the poem cycle »I Trionfi« (»The triumph«) by the Italian poet Petrarch (1304-74) in which the forms of triumph are compared. Which is victorious: love, virtue or fame, time or infinity? Fame triumphs over death, said Petrarch, but is defeated by time and infinity.

Marie-Caroline Hominal offers with »Le triomphe de la renommée« (»The triumph of fame«) both a choreographic performance as well as a fleeting moment of intimacy and retreat.

Born in Évian-les-Bains, France, the dancer and choreographer Marie-Caroline Hominal since 2004 lives in Geneva. She received her training at the Swiss Professional Ballet School in Zurich and the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in London. Since 1998, she has danced at Tanztheater Basel under Joachim Schlömer and for Gisèle Vienne, Gilles Jobin, Blanca Li, La Ribot and Marco Berrettini, amongst others.

Hominal began to choreograph in 2002 and created the works, amongst others, »Fly girl« (2008), »Duchesses« (2009) together with François Chaignaud and »Froufrou« (2013). She has been developing performances for single audience members such as »Hotel Oloffson« (2013) and also works as a video designer for music performances.
