German cinema première

Pippo Delbono is not only one of the most important theatre directors in Italy today; he has also made numerous films, including »Guerra« (»War«, 2003) and »Grido« (»Outcry«, 2006). Merciless and yet far from any form of realism, his most recent film »La paura« (»The fear«) shows the scandalous conditions in his homeland. The film was shot completely on a mobile phone serving as a miniature camera by Pippo Delbono. Daily racism, homelessness, childhood obesity and the world of showmanship are the raw materials for a film which achieves an eerie mood of poetry and absurdity. Pippo Delbono takes the side of the excluded layers of his society and especially warns against one thing: indifference.
