The film »Ein Blick hinter die Kulissen« (»A glance behind the curtains«) was created on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of euro-scene Leipzig in 2010. Bernd E. Gengelbach, co-director and technical director of the festival, and filmmaker Tilman König spent two years on the trail of the artists, festival director Ann-Elisabeth Wolff, numerous partners and the audience.

The film provides a great deal of background and atmosphere on euro-scene Leipzig. In doing so, it sheds light on the founding of the festival in 1991, the conception and the work of the small team. Alongside other artists, the famous Flemish choreographer Alain Platel, who has given numerous guest performances in Leipzig, speaks about his relationship with the festival in an interview. Countless excerpts from theatre and dance productions which have been invited to euro-scene Leipzig provide a diverse picture of the festival.
