Stage technology is usually a mystery and generally invisible for the audience. You usually just pay attention to the stage design, music and lighting. The performance lasts two hours; the technical set-up from unloading the set until the beginning of the performance often takes two complete days.
In 2010, euro-scene Leipzig elicited great interest with a first insight into technical processes. The guided tour has developed into a popular programme element in the course of the last six editions. This year, it will take place at Schaubühne Lindenfels for the first time, after previous looks into the Schauspielhaus and the Peterskirche. The focus is on the history of the venue and a look into the venue’s rooms, but primarily on the technical realisation of the guest performance of »Kosovo for Dummies« by Jeton Neziraj from Kosovo, which is directed by Johannes Mager, Bern.
