The desire for exhilaration, music, dance, love, sports and drugs has existed since the beginning of mankind – delimitation has many faces. »Crystal – Variationen über Rausch« (»Crystal – Variations on rapture«) is about crossing borders, about ecstasy and the consequences. Dancers and actors look into what states of rapture can do to one’s own body.

Heike Henning, born in 1966 in Leipzig, studied Performing Arts in Oakland / USA. After returning to Leipzig, she founded her own company in 2000; with it, she created numerous dance pieces. She has also worked at theatres in Hamburg, Dresden and Dortmund. Theater der Jungen Welt, Leipzig, was founded in 1946 and is Germany’s oldest children’s and adolescent’s theatre.
