The conversation will be in German (with translation into English), contributions from the audience can also be made in Ukrainian and will be translated.
Despite all the destruction caused by Russia’s war of aggression, many Ukrainian artists are still finding the strength to continue working. They are succeeding, under the worst of conditions, to reflect on the present day with their art and create protected spaces and new perspectives. In our discussion, we will ask about the state of affairs for art and culture during this war. How are the artists doing on site and outside of Ukraine? How does the war influence their creations? What enables or impedes their work? What forms of solidarity, resistance and political protest make artistic forms of expression possible?

Не зважаючи на всі руйнування, спричинені загарбицькою війною Росії проти України, мисткині та митці все ж віднаходять в собі сили продовжувати роботу. За найважчих обставин їм вдається аналізувати сьогодення шляхом мистецьких практик, створювати внутрішні безпечні простори та відкривати нові перспективи.
У нашій розмові йтиметься про становище культури та мистецтва в часи війни. Як почуваються українські мисткині та митці в Україні та поза її межами? В який спосіб війна впливає на їхню творчість? Що дає поштовх їхній праці, а що стоїть на заваді? Які форми солідарності, спротиву та політичного протесту уможливоюють мистецькі практики?
