In the caves of the Stone Age music was born one day far away, here people blew on tusks of animals and rang bells similar to the water drops. Further it goes across the centuries, Middle Ages and Renaissance, the opera originated in Italy and the phenomenon Bach lived in Leipzig. At breathtaking speed, the separation of art and folk music, the violinist Niccolò Paganini, the chanson to the electronic music of our days.

Three performers play over 50 roles, change instruments and their costumes at lightning speed, are musicians and actors at the same time, drum on wood, play flute and saxophone, violin and harpsichord, hurdy-gurdy, guitar and on a coconut. Knowledge transfer goes hand in hand with fun. The enchanting piece “Une histoire de la musique” (“A History of Music”) has been seen in over 350 performances at the OFF d’Avignon Festival in 2017 and 2018, as well as across France and in other countries.

Richard Navarro, born in 1960 in Arzew / Algeria, is a director, writer and actor. He directed the Théâtre de Poche in Grenoble from 1987-98, and has written and directed over 35 plays to date. Since 1999, he has directed the artists’ collective Cie Les Inédits, of which zOrozora is a member. Hélène Duret (vocals, piano, clarinet) and Sylvain Rabourdin (vocals, violin, mandolin) completed classical music training at conservatories in France. Charly Astié is a guitarist, singer and writer.
