Documentary film by von Pippo Delbono

»You can’t believe your eyes. They still exist: films that you have to open up to, that almost push you away physically with their shaky mobile phone optics and pathetic artist habitus – but then they still carry an insane core that is essential. These are films that don’t represent anything, but rather perform. ›Evangelium‹ (›Gospel‹) is one such film: highly artificial and simultaneously highly authentic« (Oliver Jungen, Frankfurter Allgemeine, 27.02.2017).

This film tells the story of a refugee camp in which the Italian director Pippo Delbono developed his idea for his theatre piece »Vangelo« (»Gospel«). He doesn’t believe in a God that walks over water while thousands of refugees find their death at the sea. Many clichés are eliminated here.

    In cooperation with ARTE

At 10. Nov. will be shown the piece »Vangelo« (»Gospel«) at Schauspielhaus.
