The Turkish Muslim Salal has his kebab kiosk in the middle of the tranquil city of Bern. One of his regular customers, Mr. Schmidt, would like to write a travel guide on Kosovo, even though he has never been there: »Kosovo for Dummies«. Antigona just came to Switzerland by foot from Kosovo. Her documents are almost complete; only one is missing: the proof that she isn’t a rhinoceros …

The piece is about migration and religious differences. »Kosovo for Dummies« is a rare example of how one can approach volatile current affairs in a serious but relaxed way with humor and self-irony. This piece, which was developed in a cooperation of artists from Kosovo and Switzerland, merges absurdity and gravity.

Jeton Neziraj, born in Kaçanik in 1977, belongs to the leading playwrights in Kosovo. From 2008-11, he was the artistic director of the National Theatre in Pristina. In 2002, he founded the independent theatre company Qendra Multimedia; he showed their piece »Yue Medlin Yue« at euro-scene Leipzig 2012.

Johannes Mager was born in Rodewisch / Vogtland in 1966 and studied acting at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater »Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy« in Leipzig. He has been working as an independent director since 2000. In 2013, he founded the company forever productions with the Austrian Gunther Kaindl and the Kosovar Albana Agaj.
