»Autumn crocus« – The theme of setting and breaking limits connects two independent and completely aesthetically opposed dance solos from France. The performance »Ch(ose)« (»Things (dare)«) is based on Sandrine Buring’s encounter with disabled children in a hospital in La Roche-Guyon. Evoking their internally closed off world, she presents a general withdrawing into an inner world. The boundaries set provide constant defence against volatile influences and makes it possible to discover an own new world. Sandrine Buring was born in 1968 in Saint-Avold / Lorraine. She studied speech therapy and worked as a florist and in veterinary medicine. She turned to dance at the age of 30 and founded her company with the writer and director Stéphane Olry in 2006.

In his dance solo »Circle moods«, Orin Camus presents the opposite of »Ch(ose)«: Overcoming boundaries and fighting against censorship. He analyses imprisonment in all of its forms: physical, moral, emotional and mental. The elements of dance are diverse and extend all the way to hip-hop. The solo is based on the experiences of Camus during his collaboration with captives in Prison de la Santé in Paris. Orin Camus, born in 1981 in Auch / Gers, practiced various types of sports and acrobatics. He completed his studies in dance and founded the Collectif CdansC in 2004, which became the new company YMA in June 2012.

Sandrine Buring and Orin Camus are both performing in Germany for the first time at this year’s euro-scene Leipzig.
