    A dance-fairytale

The famous French choreographer Angelin Preljocaj has created an enchanting, opulent dance fairytale with 26 dancers of his company in Southern French Aix-en-Provence based on the fairytale »Snow white« by the Brothers Grimm. He places special attention on the seven dwarves who provide Snow White asylum as miners and the beautiful stepmother who dances herself to death. Symphonic works from Gustav Mahler (1860-1911) form the impressive musical foundation. The costumes were designed by Jean Paul Gaultier, one of the most famous fashion designers in France. The ballet was awarded the »Globe de Cristal« for the best dance production of the year 2009.
