Werner Herzog, born in Munich in 1942, is one of the greatest directors of »new German film«. His filming of Georg -Büchner’s »Woyzeck« (1836), true to the original, follows the text scene by scene and almost word for word. Without doubt, Klaus Kinski as Woyzeck is an event in itself, brilliantly characterising the oppressed creature in dull devotion and unpredictable insubordination.

Am 07. und 08. Nov. gastiert das Centre chorégraphique national d’Orléans mit »Woyzeck« als Tanzstück von Josef Nadj im Theater der Jungen Welt.
In der Inszenierung von Jürgen Zielinski ist das Stück als Sprechtheater mit dem Ensemble des Theaters der Jungen Welt am gleichen Ort mehrfach zu sehen.
